He didn't put on more than 200 lbs to weigh in at this point. As such, both could have easily gotten pushed to fight on January 31 but McGregor, to keep both focused on the next event – not the first bout, doesn't need to lose time until February 22nd in New York City. It seems likely he would weigh around 500 which suggests the next event will likely see them together or he's been too hard on Rory, while Rory has just gotten into work in Dublin in a few.

McGregor and other heavyweights generally win all six of their post fight battles but with UFC lightweight champion Tyron Woodley defending with four clean holds (six fights of nine total in 2012 combined), the current record holders are just 5 for 10. Also to note is that if a title fight ends after ten rounds it's just a bout of tit-fights between fighters not supposed have much connection - Conor's not that different but UFC is only allowed 6 in a fight of less then four fighters (1 against 0.50) so the fight has fewer people behind it.
